The main benchmark chart

The top revenue chart shows revenues over time as a bar chart, with the total value for your selected period displayed in the top-left tile.

You can customise the view using:

  • Date picker β€” Select any time range for reporting or analysing market events

  • Settings (gear icon) β€” Switch between normalisations like per-MW-per-year, per-MWh, or raw values

Index breakdown chart (asset benchmarks only)

For asset-derived benchmarks, you'll see an additional section showing what makes up the index:

  • A stacked bar chart breaks down revenue by source (the specific sources depend on the market)

  • The legend shows all revenue sources being tracked

This breakdown helps you understand not just the total revenue, but where that revenue comes from.

Index breakdown table

Below the charts, a table shows key metrics for the selected period. The exact metrics vary by market but typically include revenue, cycling, availability, contracted capacity, and additional details like resource location, owner, and optimizer.

Methodologies

To understand how a specific benchmark is calculated, you can access its methodology documentation at the bottom of the page.
