When to create a forecast

Create a custom forecast when you need projections for a specific asset or project. You can:

  • Run your own inputs through the forecasting model

  • Compare multiple scenarios for the same project

  • Forecast for both operational and non-operational assets

Starting a new forecast

There are two ways to create a forecast:

  • Hover over Forecasts in the sidebar and click the + icon

  • Go to the forecast library and click Create forecast

Entering forecast details

The forecast form lets you configure:

  • Asset name — If you enter an operational asset, we'll pull in its parameters automatically (you can still edit them)

  • Location — Where the asset is or will be located

  • Asset size and duration — Power (MW) and energy (MWh) capacity

  • Cycling limits — Maximum daily cycles if applicable

Choosing your scenario settings

At the top of the form, select:

  • Revenue strategy — Merchant/energy focus (default) or Ancillary focus

  • Worldview — Central (default), Low, or High scenario

Running the forecast

Give your forecast a name and click Create forecast. The model will process your inputs — you can track progress in the sidebar.

Accessing your forecast

Once processed, your forecast appears in:

  • Forecasts section in the sidebar

  • Portfolio — Future view

  • Plotter — For visualisation

  • Data library — For download

You can also download the full results as a CSV.
