Auto-populating asset details when creating a forecast

Save time by pulling in details from an existing asset when setting up a new forecast.

How it works

When you create a new forecast in the Forecast Explorer, you don't need to enter every detail from scratch if the asset already exists in the Terminal.

To auto-populate:

  1. Go to Forecasts → Forecast Explorer

  2. Click to create a new forecast

  3. In the Asset Name field, start typing the name of an existing asset

  4. Matching assets appear below — select the one you want

  5. The forecast form auto-populates with that asset's known details (location, configuration, capacity, etc.)

You can still edit any of the pre-filled fields before running your forecast.

Tip: This is particularly useful when you want to forecast revenues for an asset that's already tracked in the Terminal's asset library — you get accurate configuration details without having to look them up separately.

If no existing asset matches, select New project to start from scratch.
