The Leaderboard shows battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Great Britain. To be included in the Leaderboard, assets must be greater than 7 MW in size. The reason for this cut-off point is the lack of visibility and availability of market data for assets smaller than 7 MW. Newly energised BESS assets are included in the Leaderboard when they have completed a full month of operation at near full capacity.
