What Historic data downloads does

Historic data downloads lets you export Modo Energy datasets in bulk. It's a good alternative to the API if you want to download data for offline analysis without writing code.

Finding Historic data downloads

Go to Data & Forecasts Explorer in the sidebar and select Historic data downloads.

What you can download

  • Any dataset available in the Terminal

  • Data over any time horizon

  • Exported in CSV format

Browsing available datasets

The page shows all available datasets in a table. Each row displays:

  • Dataset name and description

  • Region — Which market the data covers

  • Granularity — Data frequency (1 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.)

  • Data source — Where the data comes from

  • Required add-ons — Any subscription requirements

Filtering datasets

Use the filters in the top right to narrow down available datasets:

  • Geography — Filter by region

  • Granularity — Filter by data frequency

  • Data source — Filter by where the data comes from

Click Reset filters to clear all filters and see all datasets.

Downloading data
