Duplicating a forecast to reuse its configuration

If you've already created a forecast and want to run a similar one with small adjustments, you can duplicate it directly from the Forecast Library rather than starting over.

How to duplicate

  1. Go to Forecasts โ†’ Forecast library

  2. Find the forecast you want to copy

  3. Hover over the forecast row and click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) on the right

  4. Select Duplicate to forecast builder

  5. The forecast builder opens with all the original forecast's details pre-filled

  6. Adjust whichever parameters you need (scenario, duration, cycles, location, etc.)

  7. Click Run model to generate the new forecast

When to use this

Duplicating is useful when you want to compare scenarios โ€” for example, running the same asset configuration under both a Central and Low worldview, or testing the impact of changing cycle count or duration while keeping everything else the same.
