How to create forecasts for specific assets and projects using the Modo Terminal

Updated over a month ago

We have an extensive library of pre-loaded forecasts, to help you understand the various characteristics that impact the revenues of an asset. But as there are so many variables, you might want to run our forecasting model with a specific combination of inputs.

We've worked hard to make creating revenue forecasts for your battery energy storage systems as quick and easy as possible.

Creating a forecast

Firstly, to create a forecast you will need forecast credits assigned to your account - read more on these here.

In the Modo Terminal, the left-hand sidebar has a Forecasts section. Click on the 'Plus' icon (+) to create your own forecast.

This takes you to a form where you can add all your inputs.

In the field 'Asset name', you can add either an operational or non-operational asset. If you add an operational asset the inputs will automatically pull through, but you can make changes to these.

After updating the form, click 'Create forecast' and the model will start to run.

Once processed, you can then access this forecast in your Portfolio, Plotter, and the Data & Forecasts Library.
