If you were using Modo Energy before October 2024, then you would have seen "Forecasts" in the top navigation alongside "Indices", "Research", "Data & Charts", and "Assets".
But since October 2024, and our migration to the Modo Terminal, a single section dedicated to "Forecasts" has disappeared.
Forecasts is now spread across the sections of the Terminal that you were already using:
We're expanding into new regions quickly and sometimes forecasts won't be immediately available across the entire Terminal.
โ
For example, we typically bring forecast results into the Data Library and then roll them out into Plotter, Portfolio, and the API.
Find forecast research - The BESS Outlook
The narrative version of the Modo Energy forecasting model, The BESS Outlook, is now fully integrated with the Research Library.
This makes it easier and quicker to search for the research you need to inform your decision-making.
Finding raw forecast results & data
The full library of forecasts, including the forecasts you and your team have created, can now be found in the Data Library.
However, you can now also view forecast data on Plotter, so that you can easily spot differences between revenue forecasts as well as other model outputs. Plotter has replaced the need for what users may have known as "Studies".
Associating forecasts with assets
In addition to the standard Data Library, the Modo Terminal's Portfolio product enables you to store relevant forecasts alongside the assets and projects that you're forecasting for.
The additional information from the assets combined with revenue forecasts enables us to provide you with rough estimates of IRR for each project.
Finding and creating forecasts via API
Most users will interact with the Modo Energy forecasting model using the Terminal. However, you can also create forecasts and find existing forecasts via the API.
